Tolerating Numbskulls

Religion is like a penis: it's fine to have one, just don't wave it around in public, or try to stuff it down my kids' throats. -Anonymous.

Granted, I don't have kids, and probably won't for awhile. But this makes you think, doesn't it? This hypocrisy is on the news every day, and what for? Because someone doesn't believe that another person shouldn't have rights? Isn't that where slavery came from?
I dislike when people refuse to see that they're not the only ones in the United States, or even in the world, for that matter. They're selfish.

Let me tease your brain with another thought:

So, if it doesn't take your rights away, why bother even going against it? We aren't asking you to get married to someone of the same sex, nor are we asking you to be taxed for your churches. Why is it your business who I, or anyone else, want to marry?

Which leads me, my dear readers, to the word tolerance. In reply to my uncle's blog post on tolerance, I'd just like to point out my view, as well.
Above, I posted a comic about Christians. I would like to clarify that the comic does not stereotype them. No, it stereotypes Christian extremists. People who are intolerant of others. People who stereotype everyone else, but cry and throw tantrums when someone stereotypes them. This is what I observe every day.

I don't support either the democratic party, nor the republican party. I am very in the middle. Whichever I support on an issue depends on what the issue is. I'm neutral until I know more about the situation.

I don't support people who hate. I tolerate them. I don't think their rights should be taken away because they believe mine should. That would make me a hypocrite. Everyone deserves equal rights, even the idiots that think they're above everyone else.

I find it a little funny how most of those guys probably think about gay sex and marriage more than gay men and women do.
